PRINT MEDIA
We use award-winning Permajet resin-coated premium alpha cellulose photographic paper for our fine art printed images. Oyster 271 resin coated media, for example, has a subtle pearl/lustre finish with a heavy base weight of 271gsm giving it a true photographic paper texture and finish that is perfectly suited to photographic works. The advanced multi-layer technology gives a high degree of both water and fade resistance to the printed images. We use Permajet archival paper for those who desire an artistic finish with long-lasting archival quality, meeting standards equivalent to museum quality Giclée prints.
IMAGE DIMENSIONS
Our fine art prints come in a variety of image ratios and print sizes. These details are shown for each image in our shop so that you can be confident the image you select will fit the space you have in mind to place it. For example, the image "Time Flies" has an Image Ratio (width, height) of 3 x 2 (6 x 4), and nominal Print Dimensions (mm) of 400 x 267 [unmounted, unframed].MOUNTING
When mounting an image, we use premium grade, neutral pH whitecore mountboard (upwards of 1400 microns thickness) selected from the Daler Rowney, and Larson-Juhl ranges. Mountboard is used both as backing material to lend rigidity to the print media, and to provide a decorative, coloured, bevel-edged surrounding frame for the Fine Art print image. The Fine Art print is attached to the mountboard at its top edge only to allow the print media to hang freely within the mount and thus prevent possible rippling of the media as it adjusts to changes in ambient conditions.
FRAMING
Most of our customers choose to purchase our Fine Art Prints without a picture frame, but for those who do require a framed print, we use a local art studio with whom we have partnered to provide a fantastic, professional framing service. Further details on request or after checkout.
