SUNSET OVER LIMPOPO This view of the setting sun over rolling hills is not far from The Three Rondavels in South Africa. It looks towards Limpopo and is taken from R (Route) 532 in the province of Mpumalanga. It was a hot day, but not quite as hot as this image would suggest! At only 30 degrees (oC), it was, actually, rather cool! But hot or not, what a picture!
And Limpopo? That’s both a province in NE South Africa and the name of the river about 1100 miles long that flows east from this region in the former Transvaal through South Mozambique, all the way to the Indian ocean!
And Mpumalanga? That’s easy ... It’s the place where the sun rises!
